My skin is dry/sensitive type and it often peels off due to dryness, and thus, not many skin care products are suitable for me. This is mainly because a lot of skin care products are not mild/gentle enough that can irritate the skin. But I bought an Advent Calendar with Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream in during November 2017. Here, I have to say the texture of Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream is super-smooth and does not feel very thick or oily when its applied on my face, it's much better than many creams.
Additionally, it is super gentle and mild that does not irritate the skin at all, I would say it is very suitable for slightly sensitive skin, at least it's suitable for me.
It has three main ingredients that strive to moisturise and balance the skin:
1) Padina Pavonica
This marine extract is rich in Omega fatty acids and polysaccharides; both of these help maintain skin elasticity, youth and moisture. Especially in winter when the your skin may appear tired, dry and dehydrated
2) Rose
Rose is a natural beautifying ingredient and is one of the most classic ingredients in any skin care product. Roses have a soothing effect and apply to all skin types. And because it is a natural moisturiser, it keeps the skin moist and eliminates dullness.
3) Mimosa Absolutes
This natural nutrient is usually considered one of the main essential oils in candles. Its soothing properties help relieve pain and damaged skin, making it particularly suitable for skin irritation due to cold, dryness, and temperature changes. There are many creams in the market that are moisturising but too thick for my liking. There are also some other creams that are not too think nor oily, yet, refreshing or gel-like lotions, but sometimes these can irritate the skin.
The creamy texture of this Elemis is completely balanced - it won't irritate the skin, but it won't feel sticky or too thick/oily. Also, I personally like its scent which is very fresh and refreshing. I have used it for a while now, and it does improve my skin overall condition, especially that I am not suffering from skin peeling off anymore. Therefore, I really recommend it for all skin types, especially dry skin/ slightly sensitive skin.
